I noticed a nice new Perl 5.8.0
perlintro.
I am trying to train and inspire some absolute Perl beginners and

to visit the intro author's Kink album at
infotrope.net
Oh, and I just subscribed to perl-trainers@perl.org. Any advice on how to train Perl beginners welcome.

I told them the best first book on Perl is "Learning Perl", but I couldn't remember the author's name. ;) I might add that
one of them piped up (without any provocation) and said:
"Learning Perl is a great book". As for best second books on Perl,
I recommended the shiny ball book and the camel. And TheDamian's
OO Perl as the best third book. Actually, davorg's "Data Munging
with Perl" looks like a nice second book too, but I haven't read it.
Being new to Perl training, I will also poke around the Stonehenge
