Deer!
We went for a walk in the Prater, and saw a couple of deer. This surprised me, as the Prater is fairly central Vienna.

Well, as you of course know, Prater used to be the private hunting grounds of the emporer (until 1766 though). I doubt that the deer you saw is a direct descendant of those that used to be K & K game, so it probably came in from the Nationalpark Donauauen [donauauen.at], which is sort of connected to Prater. But as Prater (together with the 2nd and 20th district) is in fact an island between the Danube and the Donaukanal, I wonder if the deer crossed some of the danube bridges or wandered in via the not very much used
