Theft is one of the biggest problems libraries face these days, especially in the rare collections. These crooks will make it hard for even scholars to have access to such important works.
Yup, I did read it. A funny little book it is, too. It's like he wanted to write a history and a biography, but didn't have enough material for either. Either that or he was really pretentious and all that "we can see into the man's soul through the history of book theft" was just wankery:-)
