Just in case you like to know, I'm currently full-time father of 2 kids, half-time Perl hacker, sort-of DJ, bicyclist, no longer dreadlocked and 32 years old

I'm also head of Vienna.pm [pm.org], maintainer of the CPANTS [perl.org] project, member of the TPF Grants Commitee [perl.org] and the YAPC Europe Foundation [yapceurope.org].

I've got stuff on CPAN [cpan.org], held various talks [domm.plix.at] and organised YAPC::Europe 2007 in Vienna [yapceurope.org].

Five Things You Didn't Know About Me

[ #32175 ]

Seems that I've been hit by current big blog-thing, so:

Five Things You Didn't Know About Me

  1. When I was a bit more than one year old, I nearly drowned in a cesspool. I was in fact rescued by our dog "Hugo", a very smart black mongrel, who alerted my parents.
  2. I once (around '94) acquired a laceration on my forehead while stagediving. This happend during a concert of Downset and Shootyz Groove.
  3. I don't have a driving license, because I never cared about it. I use my bicycle (and sometimes public transport) to get around Vienna, and just today I got the first ticket in my life, for cycling through a pedestrian area (even though in the morning cars delivering good are allowed to drive through it, but as the police officer informed me, I'm still not allowed)
  4. I have an Ex-Stepmother, as my father married three times. BTW, I never married, but I'm living together with Barbara (and our two kids) for twelve years.
  5. A very long time ago, I wrote a CGI Request Parser using something taken out of Matts Script Archive as a guideline.

Now, I have to tag five more people, let's hope there weren't already cought by somebody else: Jose Castro ( cog), Philippe Bruhat ( BooK), Barbie (Barbie), Gabor Szabo ( gabor) and Hendrik Van Belleghem (Beatnik) for a nice mixture of Euro-Perl Hackers...
