I wonder how often a vibrant project would release a new version of its software. Once a month for over a year clearly isn't often enough.

I wonder how quickly you should be able to create a new compiler with a living project. An afternoon clearly isn't quick enough.

I wonder how many commits an active project receives in a month. Several hundred clearly isn't enough.

My prediction for 2008: counting is hard! let's go consulting!
