I'm not dead yet, Take II
I think I forgot to tell most people I'm hanging out in the military for December. It's nothing major, and it's in the US. Next to normal life, the military is a vacation where I get more sleep, have less to think about, and don't have to use the internet except every three days.
I met another Perl guy in the same unit. We only started talking about it because I noticed some linux things on his thumb drive (although his is a 5 GB fist drive). We ended up talking about Ruby though. Normally I neglect to mention any computer skills to fellow soldiers (lest I be the designated typer for anything).

That is funny.
When I was in the Marines, somehow it would come to light that I was computer literate. I got to look at some pretty gnarly systems based on that.
