Since I'm on the press list for OSCON, I get a lot of email from the various advertisers and exhibitors who want me to say nice things about their product.
Most of them really have no idea who I am, what I do, or what my readers do. This one has even less clue:
Dear [fname],
We would like to make a point of meeting you at the upcoming OSCON meeting in Portland, OR.
Maybe they want to get together to ask me how to use Template Toolkit.

They cannot even have been using perl. At least with perl everyone would get a different, personalised wrong name [perl.org]
