CPAN Testing Reports

Is it me or are CPAN failures disappearing into the ether? I'm sure there must be a setting somewhere but I'm not getting anything of late - even though there are more tests than ever.

Next I have to figure out why Log::Trivial 0.31 is failing on Windows. It worked on my test system, but it failed on a testers system - annoyingly the report doesn't say much so I have no idea why.

  • If you get a test failure you don't understand your best choice is to ask the tester.

    The test results you're presumably referring to 603385 [perl.org] looks kind of abbreviated, so perhaps the tester has a local configuration issue.

    I know without installing some of the CPANPLUS pre-requisites I was getting some truncated fail test reports [perl.org].

    • That's my plan for today, but the CPAN Testers reports don't have email address any more - for obvious reasons. As it happens I know Corion's email address so I'll send an email, but if it had been another tester I wouldn't be able to contact them just from the test report.

      I take it you are the "Tony" of CPAN Testers fame, in which case I'd like to thank you for testing my modules, you spotted the Windows bug in Log::Trivial 0.30 that the 0.31 release fixed. I see your Windows tests box was happy with the
