Leon Brocard (aka acme) is an orange-loving Perl eurohacker with many varied contributions to the Perl community, including the GraphViz module on the CPAN. YAPC::Europe was all his fault. He is still looking for a Perl Monger group he can start which begins with the letter 'D'.

London.pm is too popular

[ #20358 ]
London.pm is getting far too popular. Either that or too many Perl people are visiting London. The proof? We have three emergency meetings this week! One on Wednesday (Jesse / Joda), one on Thursday (XERN) and one on Saturday (Tanja). And there was a social meet last week. And a meet-up-for-picnic-in-the-park on Sunday. Phew!

  • ... your ability to handle dates dies.

It's two this week, Thursday and Saturday, and then one next week, on Wednesday.

  • Rael and I tried to get a meetup organized, but we were too bloody late! We arrive Sunday and leave Tuesday evening, and nobody wanted to party FOUR times in a week. Lagabouts.

So we're going to hang out with BBC creative archive folks instead. Nyah. We don't need no steenkin' Perl people.

You're accusing london.pm of not being a group of beer-obsessed party addicts? Libelous!
