Footnote To A Day

This was the day that I got the machine -- affectionately dubbed 'Alex' (I haven't decided if the machine seems to exhibit a gender yet, so I went the purposefully ambiguous route) -- back.

A missed FedEx drop off, a cleaned car, a frantic lunch hour, and several installations later, I have finally caught up on journals here.

I guess I had a nice vacation. It'll be so nice to start playing with perl in a place where I've got more experience; I spent so much time learning Linux that I didn't get to perl much.

It'll be so nice to beat that script into shape.

It's so nice to be back...here, and perlmonks.

Long day. Did much. Glad it's mostly over.
