That's what you could see on the train.
So I made it back safe and sound.
I kind of liked Lisbon, but I know working there wouldn't be exactly the same as being there for one day... I would probably miss my home and especially my girlfriend... but hey, you gotta take the good with the bad, right?
Anyway, I went to the interview. For what I can tell, they're pretty pleased by the fact that I'm one of the most active Perl'ers in Portugal, but it's like I told them: "Hey, it's Portugal! It's not that hard, really
They seem to be a good company to work in, so I can only hope for them to make me a decent proposal...
One funny/strange thing about the interview I only realized later: there was no technical part!
I mean, we talked about the things I've done and the ones I'm doing at the present, but there wasn't even a line of code involved, or any kind of test, so I'm not sure if they know how good or bad I am... not that it bothers me... I feel confident enough
Meanwhile, I haven't heard from Infineon so far... this can mean an awful lot of different things, but the ones I'm more inclined to believe are that either they're not calling me at all of they're simply not hiring at the moment, being a moment a period of a month... I do know they usually have a guy flying in from Germany to do the interviews, and he might be on vacation...
I'm still considering some other companies for which I could send my CV to, if things with Lisbon don't work out.
Oh well, it was fun, going to Lisbon and having a multi-vitamins juice there, with some friends
I got a phone call from Lisbon, from a guy who saw my CV in my webpage
Lisbon is a bit far away, and I hadn't considered the possibility of moving
there, but this guy had some words that are still in my mind: Open-Source,
Perl and Mason
Well, I figure that at least I'm going there, even if it's just to see who
they are, what they do, what they expect...
The interview will be on August 16 (the guy is going on vacation next week),
so that gives me some time until then... during which I can still hear from
Infineon, if they bother enough to open my CV
If none of this works out, at least I'm happy that someone went to my homepage
and thought I'd be a good choice for his company
A friend of mine asked me if I'd like him to see if there's any opening where he's working... the problem is that he is working in Lisbon...
I think I should re-evaluate my future, and think if I should settle for northern Portugal or also search for a job in companies that are a bit far away...
I figure that if I don't get any kind of contact from Infineon until mid August, then I should probably send my CV elsewhere...
Humm... maybe it's time for me to list possible companies to apply for
There is one problem, though... I wouldn't mind having to work with C or Java
(I wouldn't be in a worse situation then my present one...), but I would mind
having to work with Windows...
Ah... the problems of living in such a small country
Well, maybe I'll just have to look better
I'm still not sure if I should send it somewhere else too... and where to
As I said in one of my last posts (with my primary user), too many people I personally know read
my blog... and it's for the best that some of them don't know that... I
finally made my resume
I'll probably be sending it somewhere...
If you still don't know who I am, I'm pretty sure all of you will be able
to find that out by checking this profile...
Regards to all,

And please don't get mad at me for creating a second user
