Kitchen

[ #860 ]

Kitchen was a nightmare.

It's mostly done. The carpenter took two more days than he had planned to finish. In the process of rushing he broke the new oven door. Actually he shattered the front glass into about a million little pieces (safety glass), by using his knees to try and push it into place. The new glass is on order, and it's more than half the cost of the entire oven! There are bits missing. The breakfast bar legs are 8 inches too short.

All things considered, it's still better than what was there before.

Remaining work:

- Kitchen walls (tiling, painting), ceiling and floor
- Foyer and Downstairs loo.
- Landing.
- Heather's office.
- Master b'room fitted wardrobes to be finished.

I think we can get most of this done in about 3 weeks. But watch this space :-)
