Has anyone had issues with the OS X Address Book? All of a sudden, mine has gotten into the habit of freezing for five minutes before I can start using it (after that it's fine). I only have four people in it... Deleting its Library files and relaunching it doesn't change anything. This causes Mail to do the same (it waits for five minutes when "Loading Address Book" before becoming usable).
This is quite a bummer, I'd just decided that I'd start using more native apps (as opposed to mostly unixish stuff) to see if it worked. Hmmm, it's not working

I still fail to get how lying about a blow job can be a major scandal but lying about killing and stealing from people can be ok.
I was reading through OS X Hacks and fell upon a cool hack: five lines of Perl to call a remote SOAP service, and a little applescript for it to respond to voice commands and answer by telling you the temperature outside.
Unfortunately, it's US centric and only takes US zipcodes

Are there any decent ones? I mean really decent ones, like TextPad or Kate. None of that emacs, or vi, or bbedit sillyness. Thanks for any pointers!
