  • Slang for masturbation/orgasm I seem to recall. From my youth in the toilets at school a typical 'witty' remark to someone:

    "Oi John, what are you doing in there, turning Japanese mate?"

    Followed by the equally witty:

    "You'll go blind you will".

    Oh, those were the days :-)

    • Pretty much spot-on. Strictly speaking, it's a reference to the squinty faces we hapless males make as the moment of bliss, errr, comes upon us. :-)

      • Having spoken to the man who wrote it, I can confirm all of the above :)

        Dave Fenton was the sound engineer at The Cartoon Club for many years in Croydon. He did many a knob twiddling (pun intended) on the soundboard for ARK (http://snap.to/ark) when I was their lighting engineer. A very nice man
