You came late to the C64 [wikipedia.org]. Mine is an early UK made 1983 "shoe-box" model. It still works okay, though it's currently living in the loft in a box. I still have software with 1982 copyright dates on them - though I've not tested the media for some time. Eumlation is okay, but it's not quite as much fun as the original...
