    Actually it may just win speed contests.

    Tatsu [perl.org] has been running performance tests. On updates it's about 70% of the speed of MySQL (latest release), but on selects it's faster. At least I think that's what he found.

    The biggest problem now is the transaction model, which appears to prevent new connections when in a transaction. Very bad.
