    You're listening to The Violent Femmes! Is there a story behind an obscure(ish) New Zealand band from nearly 20 years ago making it into your playlist?
    • Damn. Blast from the past. The Violent Femmes were excellent! Where the heck are my records:-)

    • I can't speak for others, but here in the Portland Goth/Industrial community, the Violent Femmes are quite popular. I never knew they were obscure.

    • I confused two different bands who were both in my music collection in the 80s - The Violent Femmes and The Verlaines. The former being from Milwaukee and the latter being from Dunedin (NZ). I shall now retreat to a warm dark place and weather the storm of public humiliation :-)
