Would it be hard to port your new Ruby module back to Perl?

  Not really, but it would basically mean scrapping the current implementatin entirely. Since it's Anthony's module, I don't know how keen he would be to change the API or accept wholesale code changes.
  In any case, I'm going to wait for feedback from the Ruby community to see how they like things before making suggestions to Anthony.
