  • I'm glad someone dug through the Privacy Policy (these legal documents these days are quite windy and daunting, especially if you just have a small textarea to read 'em in), but this type of stuff doesn't surprise me.

    Orkut is not a non-profit or a FSF project ... it plans to make $. So it's gonna use its assets (your personal information) to make its money, one way or another.

    If you don't like it, don't sign up -- which is what your post says, really. Again, I commend someone finding the flaws, exposing them and making the right and personal decision.

    But I cannot condemn Orkut from trying to make money, especially when they do spell it out in their policy .. which is much better than a bait-n-switch scheme.
