  • When you say open new URLs what do you mean? There are preferences (look under tabbed browsing) so that when you click on a link with the command key pressed or enter a URL in the location bar and hit (I think) command-Enter the URL opens in a new tab. The open web location dialog also has a menu where you can choose where to open the URL.
    • I mean an external application requesting to open a new URL through Internet Config. Things like openurl http://use.perl.org/ or selecting the NetNewsWire Lite Website menu option in NetNewsWire Lite.

Chimera has an option to open these in a new tab instead of a new window. I open up a lot of new URLs externally that way, and Mozilla clutters up the desktop with many new windows, while Chimera didn't (but would get confused after the first five or ten).
