If you ever feel moved to do my collection, feel free to come over for a visit. Although I should perhaps note that of vinyl alone there are 1500+ LPs, 1000+ 12" singles, 1500+ 7" singles and probably about 100 10" EPs and LPs. Should keep you occupied for a while ;)
If you wanted to attempt the CDs too, then your probably talking similar numbers for albums and singles.

How long have you been collecting? And do you have any decent tools to convert vinyl to mp3s? (This is maybe the only advantage of CDs...)

I've been collecting for over 30 years! I started when I was about 10, although the peek of my collecting was from 20-25, when I would go to Leicester for the monthly record fair and visit the 15 second record shops on the way home :)
There was a vinyl ripper I used to use that would take Line-In feeds and convert them to mp3, which was also good for converting my bootleg tapes (I have over 3000 of those, mostly recorded by myself). I can't remember the name of the app, as I haven't used it for a couple of years. Which reminds me I do need to set up the tape deck again to get some more ARK gigs online. My brother has a USB turntable, which I've been meaning to borrow so I can transfer some of the vinyl bootlegs I have. I have a classic Black Sabbath one from the Heaven And Hell tour that I haven't played in years.
