  • So next time around, in case I forget, can Aristotle, Diego, George and Steffen come and say hello :)

Just like you, I also usually make a list of people I want to talk to.

Interestingly, Aristotle was on my list last year and I didn't manage to spot him. Fortunately, this year, he said hello, so we met.

I'm ahead of you by one year :-D

    • *blush*

FWIW, you and Barbie were on my list at Vienna. I think I caught everyone this year that I had still left over from missing them in Vienna – except Barbie.

  • It's nice to have the feedback after the conference. What about extending it to try to find why people don't come back to yet another conference?

So what about a really short survey that tries to find out this and sending to those who were in Vienna but not in Copenhagen?

Then the same survey can be sent out to the people who were in Copenhagen but are not signed up to Lisbon some 2 month before the next conference thereby also reminding them about the conference.

In general it would be nice if organizer

    • Regards a survey for attendees that came to the previous conference, but not to the current one, is a great suggestion, and I may well work on that at some point.

Regards sending announcements by email via ACT, I'm sure there could be some mechanism that could be implemented that would allow attendees to be sent announcements. Even to point of filtering in such a way to select those attending a particular conference (the previous one) and not those from another (the current one). This could also work from W

  • I think I literally said "hello" - we were on the same bus two of the three mornings. I joined you guys at the bus station by chance twice.

    • You know I figured I probably did speak to or at least say hello to everyone I wanted to, I just didn't realise they were the people I wanted to say hello to!

So next year, if we managed to share the bus again I'll be a bit more proactive and say hello more enthusiastically ;) Either that or make sure the name badges emphasise everyone's name a bit better ... perhaps with orange (well we have to keep Leon happy) flashing LEDs :)
