Spreadsheet::ParseExcel [cpan.org] is looking for a new maintainer? That is like, wow... This module is, IMO, one of the great successes of Perl. I'd be honoured to take it over.

Of course, I'd better take a good look first at the standing issues, and see if I can help in resolving at least some of them and in reasonable time. Only then I will consider myself worthy for the position.

Any hint on what is a particularly nagging problem? I might want to try and tackle that first.
