So to justify your surprise that the government claims they never directly linked Hussein to 9/11, you quote several sources that affirm they never directly linked Hussein to 9/11.

Color me crazy, but I just don't get it.

Yes, the implication is that Hussein was part of the war on terror. This is in no small part because of the fact that Iraq was -- and still is -- home to many terrorist organizations, including a half dozen prominent Palestinian terrorist groups.

Did they push it too much, mentioning Hussein and 9/11 together too often, making people think that there was an implied connection? Yes, I said this back in February, and I still believe it. But despite this, it is still true that never were they directly linked.

However, I also think the General Clark thing was blown way out of proportion. So whatever. :-)
