Second Life (Score:2)
For some, it's a graphical chat room; for others, a place to make clothing out of textures or buildings out of geometrical primitives and sell them; and lots more. I suppose it depends what you want to do.
I imagine that if you want to make money, you'd need to get into the real estate business (though it's probably hard to get a foothold there). Creating and selling content is probably next.
I've met some nice people there, but I don't spend hours on end in Second Life.
