    • Well, yes, I guess I was around for much of the early history of the web, but considering that I was doing a degree in computing between 84 and 88 I was was seriously late in getting onto the internet.

      I remember reading Usenet in my final year of college and I think I even made a couple of posts, but I'm buggered if I can find them now.

      • I'm reasonably confident that the archive isn't as complete as it'd like to be, as I remember being reasonably vocal in rec.arts.sf-lovers back in 87ish, but things are somewhat skimpy around then. The earliest message of mine I can find is
        this [google.com]. Not exactly enlightening.
