Computer Weekly has a snippet describing a watch developed at Bristol University that uses GPS to provide the wearer with a description of, and directions to, the nearest pub.

I was expecting the use to be always displaying the correct local time, even when you travel. Coming from a University, though, I suppose that the provided use should have been expected.

Disclaimer: I work at the reg*.{[hc],sym} like a novice alchemist:
I pour the blue liquid on the red liquid. If it doesn't blow up on my
face, I proceed to turn up the flame under the blue liquid, and so on.
