  • Sometimes trains make seemlingly pointless crossovers from one set of track to the other and back for no other reason to have some trains go over otherwise hardly use crossovers. From what I have understood by local train fanatics, it's being done to get rid of rust.
    • Probably in the general case. But I doubt it was this time, because I think that all three get at least 6 trains over them daily, and doing that sort of manoeuvre during the rush hour would seem to be particularly daft, given that each time it blocks 2 of the 4 tracks.
