In any case, I've yet to see the but in post 5.6.1 versions of CPAN (yet?).

I haven't seen that bug in anything post-5.6.0, actually. But, my first action every time I install 5.6.1 is to install Bundle::CPAN, so I'm not sure if I'm using the one out of the distribution or not. (Who checks?)
Wouldn't it be a good idea if this bug was in the FAQ?
