Getting version 0.01 is in my opinion very healthy...

Releasing serves several purposes:

Contributing to the over-all open source code base

Inspiration for others programmers

Feedback, bugs reports and collaboration

Freeing up your time and queue

I hate having multiple projects on the drawing board and I always do... :)
