Private schools are more likely to involve a fully controlled environment, with the students living within the school with the other students and with the teachers - all part of the same environment.       • I didn't have boarding schools in mind as examples of North American private schools. I expect that what you say is more true there, but my experiences with daytime-only private and home schools is that there are plenty of opportunities for socialization and external contact.
