  • How about a script that pulls the latest mails, checks whether any fail to parse, and sends the sender a canned message if some fuzzy matching on the subject and body shows it actually was an attempt to send a report?
    • Well I have a series of scripts that are doing that for me, that I run by hand. However, it really needs a human to review the results, just in case the mail is simply part of a conversation and not a report. I'd be very reluctant to have anything automated. Plus these erroneous reports are only posted occasionally (about 20 so far this year) and usually in a batch by the same person, so a simple mail is probably enough to point them in the right direction.

      I don't want to discourage anyone wanting to help with cpan-testing, and canned messages might give the wrong impression.
