Congratulations! It's good to see fellow perl people reproduce even if there's only a 50% chance of another perl person out of the deal. :-)

Oh, and what everyone said about sleep is likely true. I became a dad to twins on Jan 10 and I get about 4 constantly interrupted hours of sleep a night (and that's with the wife "letting me sleep") It shouldn't be so bad with just one child but it might be. (I have 2 other children already but they were atypical in that they each slept through the night at about 2-3 weeks)
