  • I guess you know it, but if not:

    Mark Overmeer is working on something called cpan6 [cpan6.org]. He also tries to solve the inter-language depency problems you're describing.

  • You used the protocol 'http' for a URI that is not also a URL. If you're going to use a real protocol in your URI then it'd be nice if the URI were also a URL and the URL returned something useful to a human that plugged it into a web browser.
