Sounds like a great idea. You can count on my wife and I flying up from Florida to attend.
Even if you don't put a bid together for YAPC 2005, it wouldn't hurt to start compiling information. You never can be too prepared and if you could wrangle up enough folks to delegate tasks to, it actally can be quite fun.
