Buying booze on Sunday (Score:1)
That's not true anymore. Starting a couple of years ago, some State Stores started being open on Sundays from noon to 5. My local store in Bryn Mawr was one of the first to open on Sundays. It also got one of those fancy temperature-controlled rooms for the expensive wines. (I'm sure it's purely a coincidence that the head of the PLCB at the time was a Bryn Mawr resident.) According to the PLCB list of stores in Northampton County [state.pa.us], it appears that your local store in the Stefko Shopping Center in Bethlehem is open on Sundays these days.
Since 2005, beer distributors have been allowed to be open on Sundays if they have a Sunday sales permit [state.pa.us]. I don't know if any of my local distributors are open on Sundays.
As that PLCB document mentions, one other place you can legally buy beer in Pennsylvania is directly from breweries and brewpubs.
