  • Slash is not hard to install on any Linux system I've tried. I also understand it installs well on BSDs, if you have GNU tools installed. It installs fine on Debian (Slashdot is deployed on Debian). I understand it is fine on Mandrake as well (one of our developers uses that), as well as Yellow Dog, SuSE, etc.

    As to BSD and (yikes!) Solaris problems, all it really takes is someone to make a better Makefile ... aevil threatened to do that a few times. :-)
