  • I like it. Of course dev-perl/Archive-Tar 1.05 is available on gentoo (it's just masked). I'm not sure how you can check that reliably.

    If your portage tree is up-to-date you could list files in /usr/portage/dev-perl/Archive-Tar/. Probably better to scrape the ebuild cvs page [gentoo.org]
