  • I did the same thing, and then when I wanted to run fink [sf.net], it was a bloody mess. I'm glad Randal [perl.org] was nice enough to tar up his /System/Library/Perl directory and pass it my way.

    It's clear to me that the fink method of dumping everything in the /sw directory is the way to go so long as OS X keeps getting updated all the time.

    • Shame fink doesn't come with it's own version of perl with everything linked against that, really. There are probably some good reasons for them not doing this, but I can't think of any right now. 8)
