quality of life (Score:2, Insightful)
As I get older I've learned to value my quality of life more, and commuting is one of those areas where you have some control over the issue. I didn't take a job this past October because I would have had to drive out to the suburbs every day. It's a 'reverse commute' and would probably have taken ~40 minutes to go around 12 miles or so. Not so bad.
