cumin makes almost everything taste better. Ever since I found that you can get seeds cheap at your local indian grocer, I've bought bags of them and done a roast-grind combo every few weeks or so.
And thank you for reminding me to lookup how to pronounce it. Apparently you can use either 'koo' min or 'kyu' min. The latter sounds better to me, for whatever reason.

Cumin is an unbeatable combo with chile pepper powder (aka chilli powder, as opposed to chili powder). Seriously -- chilli powder and cumin make anything good!
