Star Trek Scripts (Score:1)

I don't know whether the issue is that it's hard to write good scripts....

The original series predated me by several years, so I don't know how much my rule of thumb applies there. However, every series from TNG on has proven that the Star Trek writers are completely incapable of subtlety when writing a Social Issue of the Week episode. Also, time travel.
Think of them as the PHP-Gtk of television. I find that sets my expectations appropriately and usually end up reading a book instead.

    I read a lot of those as a teenager. Mary Sue who? At least Peter David's were always readable.
