I pour the blue liquid on the red liquid. If it doesn't blow up on my
face, I proceed to turn up the flame under the blue liquid, and so on.
I have very little idea of what I am really doing, I just like the
pretty colors :-)

Is there a drum solo that doesn't go on too long?

I know what you mean, though, about drum solos going on too long. Sometimes drummers do them who really don't have the skill to hold an audience. There are some great percussion works out there, if you want to find them. I'd recommend most anything by Terry Bozzio.
