  • The sky is blue because light refracts in the atmosphere.
    Why?

    • Actually the sky is blue due to Rayleigh scattering. There's a good, simple explanation here:

      As for when Perl 6 will come out, the answer is simple - Real Soon Now (TM) :-)

      Finally, what does if mean that "computers aren't as fast as they could (be)"?
      Well, obviously, a computer cannot transmit data faster than the speed of light. So computers are constrained due to the lower-than-C speed of electrical data transmittion, as well as due to the use of synchronous circuits. When chips become photonic and asynchronous, they will be as fast as they can be :-)
