  • The first line is correct.
    • So you can come to the conclusion that that second line should be removed :-)
    • Well, it'd be more natural to say "I have come to the conclusion" if in the recent past, or "I conclude" if it's happening right now. "I come to" is missing something.

      • I agree. Also, the second sentence isn't actually wrong, since the "that" can be omitted after "come to the conclusion", but the first sentence is probably easier to understand the first time.

  • I have come to the conclusion that the minutia of English doesn't make a whole lot of sense and have stopped worrying about grammatical errors so minor one has to consult an authority to figure out which is "correct". Instead I plan on investing that time in something more worthwhile like eating, having contests of will with cats or ensuring my blinds are perfectly parallel.
