find a power outlet

plug in your firewire hub [belkin.com]

Into your firewire hub, plug in your ipod (either directly, or indirectly through your ipod dock).

Into your firewire hub, also plug in the firewire cable from ifire.

Into your ipod (or ipod dock) plug in the audio cable from ifire.

Into your ifire, plug in your speakers.

Find a small baggie or box to hold all these components when you want to take your portable stereo/jukebox on the road :)

note: that's not the cheapest powered firewire hub available, or even the cheapest source for that particular hub. You'd do well to shop around a bit if you wanted to go that route.
