  • I'd go with Eclipse, mainly because then you can do both Java and Perl, assuming you grab the Perl plugin. Also, I have no clue what Netbeans is. :)
  • Having played this game recently myself (eclipse and NetBeans anyways), I'd recommend Emacs' JDE mode. Setting it up takes a bit of work, but once it finds your javadoc and the compile-server runs, it's perfectly usable.
