Maybe we can change the name to something else and meet at a local brewery. A quick search turned up the following:

Nah, keep it. It carries on the tradition. Plus an organised trek to a brewery isn't likely to get as many recruits as a excuse to sit around and chat with an unusual beer.
Although what I know of American beers they are desperately in short supply of a good dark beer or stout. At least I did find Guinness ;)
