To OSCON or Not To OSCON... (Score:1)

I'm going to YAPC::N::A this year but am still thinkging about OSCON. The big reason is money. It's a near certainty that my company will not pay for it, but I'm a sorely tempted because of the value in it and the fun that I've had there in the past.

Is it worth it to shell out $3,000 - $4,000? I know I'm probably the only one that can make that decision. It doesn't make it any easier.

  If you've never seen Dominus' tutorial on iterators [oreillynet.com], then is certainly worth a few thousand bucks. Oh, there's other good stuff going on there, plus the west-coast Perl family reunion. :-)
