Don't you live in Colorado? What do you need AC for... it's a dry heat .

Personally, I preferred the "swamp cooler" when I lived there (just a few years ago... for 20 years...). It was a bit cheaper to run, and added some humidity to the house... which was nice, because I grew up in Florida.

  Actually, it turns out that I'm a knucklehead. The damn fuse blew and I hadn't noticed because I haven't needed the AC for a few days until recently.
  Yeah, I could definitely use a humidifier though, especially in winter.
